Creative Use of Data

Creative Use of Data recognizes work in which data played an integral role in its development and execution.


ELIGIBILITY: January 1, 2020 - March 26, 2021

INFORMATION: Project information is required on all entries. A detailed project description (300 words or less) is not required, but is highly recommended.

MEDIA: Each category accepts specific media types. Judging and Supporting media can be attached to your entry after your category is selected.

  • Judging Media: The primary material and content that the jury will be judging.
  • Supporting Media: Secondary material and content that the jury may choose to review at their discretion.
  • Reference Media: These images will be used for reference but will not be judged.

CU_01: Data Visualization
Final Deadline Fee: $750.00

A single (1) or series (2-5) of work which utilizes creative visual representation of data. Can be static or dynamic forms of charts, maps, graphs, custom content, etc.

Targeting

CU_02: Targeting
Final Deadline Fee: $750.00

A single (1) or series (2-5) of work for which data was used and interpreted to target a specific audience. Data must have played an integral role in defining the audience for the brand's message.

Storytelling

CU_03: Storytelling
Final Deadline Fee: $750.00

A single (1) or series (2-5) of work for which data was used and interpreted to create or enhance a brand narrative. Data must have played an integral role in telling a brand's story.

Social Media

CU_04: Social Media
Final Deadline Fee: $750.00

A single (1) or series (2-5) of work for which data generated from social media platforms was used and interpreted to engage with an audience. Data must have played an integral role in defining the brand's message.

Real-Time

CU_05: Real-Time
Final Deadline Fee: $750.00

A single (1) or series (2-5) of work for which data was gathered, interpreted, and used in real time to engage with an audience. Data must have played an integral role in defining the brand's message.

Innovation & Transformation

CU_06: Innovation in Lockdown
Final Deadline Fee: $750.00

A single (1) or series (2-5) of work for which data was gathered, interpreted, and used in defining the brand's message. Innovation and ingenuity must have been applied to overcome limitations imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
NOTE: Entries must include a written explanation of the ingenuity of the methods used to create the work and/or to engage the client's audience in a way that addressed the challenges of the pandemic, including social distancing, travel restrictions, talent limitations, reduced budgets, work from home, etc.
